With our unwavering desire for continual self-improvement, we decided to up the ante and prove to ourselves and demonstrate to our customers that our commitment to uphold the highest standards was important to us. We embarked on a journey to attain dual certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management.

With the entire Genisys team up for the challenge, we set ourselves an aggressive target of 10 months to achieve our goal.

In 8 months we achieved the following:

• September 2016 – The process of constructing our management systems begins
• December 2016 – Genisys attains certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
• April 2017 – Genisys attains certification in ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management

With our passion for innovation and commitment to deliver value to our customers, Genisys decided to find a way to address this growing trend. We embarked on an idea to build out a secure and scalable hosted infrastructure platform that was managed by experts, with the goal of providing customers the ability to consume resources and applications “as a Service” in the form of an operational expense. This ensured that our clients could still have access to the latest technologies without having to commit to expensive capital expenditures and human resources to manage them.

As it turns out, we were one of the first ICT companies to launch an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud computing product in Australia, branded “Terra”, which is a true testament to our vision of being innovators.

Genisys has partnered with Equinix to ensure the “Terra” platform is securely hosted in top tier data centres that maintain compliance with international and regional standards including ISO 27001, PCI DSS and SOC1-Type II and have an industry-leading track record of uptime greater than 99.99999%.

Every system and every process was refined and tested against our new philosophy of bringing enterprise quality with small business agility. We committed to mature as an organisation and achieved the following soon after:

• We implemented ITIL methodologies
• We became an ISP, bringing MPLS networking in-house to guarantee quality
• We recruited experienced support and management staff
• We upgraded our ticketing system to support our processes and add flexibility
• We allocated full time staff to ongoing process improvement roles
